Tidal Pearls – Copper Tide

Warm, earthy and full of coastal character, Copper Tide combines burnished copper and russet tones with flashes of turquoise blue, evoking rock pools illuminated by changing light.

Each pair is handcrafted from polymer clay and mica powders, with a richly textured surface of circular impressions and flowing lines. The metallic pigments settle differently across every detail, producing areas of depth, shimmer and contrasting colour that change subtly with the light.

No two pairs are identical, making each set a genuinely individual piece of wearable art.

Lightweight and comfortable to wear, Copper Tide earrings have a 40 mm polymer clay drop, excluding the ear wire, and are finished with silver-tone ear wires.

Artist’s Note
Copper Tide was inspired by the warmer colours that appear among coastal rocks — rust, copper and earthy browns interrupted by brilliant glimpses of blue water. I love the contrast between those weathered, mineral colours and the unexpected turquoise highlights.
