Artist’s Note: “Living on Scotland’s northeast coast, I am constantly inspired by the colours, textures and movement of the sea. Ocean Echo was created to capture that sense of depth and calm found in the water, where light ripples across the surface and every moment reveals a different shade of blue. I hope this piece brings a little of that coastal magic wherever it is worn.”

This set was Inspired by the rhythm of the tides and the ever-changing light dancing across the sea, Ocean Echo captures the movement, depth, and tranquillity of the Scottish coastline. Rich ocean blues flow through the handcrafted pendant, while iridescent crystal accents and metallic blue hematite rings reflect the shifting colours of water beneath changing skies.

The set is completed with matching drop earrings incorporating coordinating hematite rings and crystal accents.

Designed and handcrafted by Scottish mixed media artist Susan Emmison, each piece is individually created in her shorefront studio in Pittulie, Aberdeenshire.

Description

A statement necklace and earring set featuring a handcrafted polymer clay pendant with a radiating ocean-inspired design in deep cobalt and sapphire blue tones. The pendant is suspended from a necklace of metallic blue hematite rings and iridescent crystal beads, creating a contemporary design that is both elegant and easy to wear.

The reverse of the pendant features Susan Emmison’s individually applied maker’s mark, signifying an authentic handmade Shorelight Studio piece.
