Jewel of the Sea Necklace and Earring Set
Jewel of the Sea is a one-of-a-kind polymer clay jewellery set handcrafted in Scotland by Shorelight Studio.
The design is inspired by the true story of the Edward Bonaventure, wrecked off the Pitullie coast in 1566. The ship was said to have carried silks, furs and rare jewels, with stories suggesting that some of its lost treasure may have been scattered along the shoreline or remained hidden beneath the waves.
Rich turquoise and deep purple tones are framed with golden detailing, creating the impression of precious jewels glinting in the sea. The bold pattern and luminous finish give the set an ornate, treasure-like quality while remaining lightweight and comfortable to wear.
The set includes a 60 mm statement pendant on a 55 cm gold-plated chain, together with coordinating 55 mm drop earrings on gold-plated ear wires. Each piece is formed, detailed and finished by hand, making every set completely unique.
A signed copy of Susan Emmison’s illustrated book, Grandma Griggly and the Mystery of the Edward Bonaventure, is included with the set. The story begins with a mysterious discovery on Pitullie Shore and introduces younger readers to the legend of the shipwreck and its lost treasure.
The set is presented gift boxed and includes a Shorelight Studio presentation card and certificate of authenticity.

Artist’s Note
Inspired by the legend of treasure lost to the sea, Jewel of the Sea celebrates colour, history and the enduring mystery of the Edward Bonaventure. I wanted this set to evoke precious objects discovered along the shoreline—glimmering, storied and full of wonder.
